Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Footy with Friends. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. You may hold one account and agree to provide accurate information.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Community conduct

Footy with Friends is a welcoming, inclusive, sapphic community space. You agree to treat others with respect. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, threats, and abusive behaviour are not tolerated. We may remove content and suspend or ban accounts that breach these standards, at our discretion.

4. Events, bookings & fees

The app lets you book casual sessions, register for competitions, and join league teams. Some carry an entry or slot fee, which is shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; by paying you authorise the charge for the stated amount.

5. Cancellations & refunds

• You can cancel an unpaid reservation at any time before payment.
• Once a fee is paid, refunds can be requested and will be issued provided the request is made at least 7 days before the event. Contact us at dk@footywfriends.com to request a refund.
• We may cancel or reschedule an event. If we cancel a paid event, we will refund the fee.

6. Physical activity & assumption of risk

Football and related activities carry an inherent risk of injury. You take part voluntarily and at your own risk, and you are responsible for ensuring you are fit to participate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in any game, event, or activity.

7. Third-party links & services

The app links to third-party services such as Bumble BFF. We don't control and aren't responsible for them; your use of those services is subject to their own terms.

8. Service provided "as is"

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Footy with Friends and its organisers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any amount exceeding the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, and any disputes will be subject to the courts located in New York.
